 @ PLC07 no hate here and Not trying to get too deep into the flaming but, "hundreds of people with your exact same kit"? even 10 people with the exact same kit? I have never been to a DH race when there have been so many people wearing the exact kit that I begin to get confused on who is who. Unless its a team, then yeah, because it is a team. But when im photographing a race I know each individual racer that is worth photographing by kit and bike, not by name or number plate.

 There are over 40 species of the Bird of Paradise. Many of the birds of paradise are so brilliant and colorful that at first glance in a given species they all look the same. But a female bird of paradise will always chose the best kept, best looking, and brightest mate.
lol what ever. good times. im stoked on the POD. But for real if you "look fast" also helps to be fast, you will get media attention, plane and simple you will get noticed. But If your presence on a bike is less than desirable then that photo will get scrapped. (There is always an exception.) By having your sponsors on said kit you are preforming one of the main purposes of getting noticed, and that is promotion, and endorsing your sponsors. Its not a fashion show out there but in ANY pro level sport the athlete always looks good and flys his/her colors. That was a rant and I am sorry.

 Yep the point was to be seen on this shot. all about the contrast in colors between the rider and background. If you are sponsored by a shop or component company, they want you to be seen in a big way.
